OUR PASTOR
Dr. Paschal was born in 1961 to the late Rev. Fred D. Paschal Sr., and Mary Paschal. Dr. Paschal has an older brother (Fred Jr.) and younger sister (Belinda). Dr. Paschal is a graduate of Trotwood Madison High school. Dr. Paschal holds an Associates degree in Applied Science from Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, attended American Baptist College in Nashville, TN, Bachelors of Theology from Trinity College of the Bible in Newburgh, Indiana, (with honors), a Masters of Pastoral Theology from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla, Georgia,(Magna Cum Laude) and a Doctorate in Ministry from Southwest Bible College and Seminary in Jennings, Louisiana, graduating Summa Cum Laude and in the top of his class.
Dr. Paschal served six years in the United States army, where he received numerous awards and citations and two honorable discharges.
Dr. Paschal is the former pastor of the Zion Baptist Church in Troy, Ohio, and Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio. Under his spiritual leadership, the Lord has added many souls to the Kingdom of Heaven and to the churches that he has pastored. Office equipment was updated, alarm system installed, new carpeting for the sanctuary, new roof added, implemented the P. I. Perkins scholarship fund, evangelical emphasis was taken to a new level, senior saints ministry was implemented, co-founder of the city wide annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., celebration, P. A. systems added, provided financial accountability and stability, media ministry implemented, and much more.
Since Dr. Paschal's tenure as pastor, souls are being saved, he has implemented the evangelistic S.W.A.T. ministry (Saints With A Testimony), S.M.A.R.T, ministry( STUDENTS MAKING ACADEMIC READINESS FOR TOMORROW), The First and Goal Mentoring ministry, a feeding ministry, a puppet ministry, resume writing, the Deacon Tim Stoudmire Benevolence Fund,new alarm system installed, the Pearls of Praise flag ministry (in memory of Sis. Pearlene Myricks),designed a website, job readiness ministry, a Facebook page, a nursing home ministry, a strong Bible study and Sunday School department, Deacons and Deaconess training, a community fun day, implemented the Inspirational Voices of Praise Choir, upgraded the phone system and PA system, a new copier machine purchased, many cosmetic repairs to the church building have been made, black topped the parking lot, and a medicine consultation ministry, radio ministry, implemented a security ministry, ordained deacons, and much more. The story is still being written. Dr. Paschal has a strong passion for preaching, education, missions, prayer, and evangelism! Our membership is growing physically, but, more importantly , spiritually!!
Dr. Paschal has authored several training guides and is a former columnist for the Troy Daily News Paper in Troy, Ohio. Dr. Paschal has sermons posted on Sermon Central.
Dr. Paschal is the former Dean of the Congress of Christian Education for the Northwestern Missionary Baptist Association of Ohio and the Ohio Baptist General Convention, and former first vice-president of the SCLC.
Dr. Paschal is widely sought to teach, lecture, and preach the Good News of God.
Dr. Paschal is affiliated with the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc., the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education, the Dayton Baptist pastors and ministers union, the O.B.G.C., and the Northern Ohio Baptist Association.
Dr. Paschal is the proud father of twins, Breland Jermaine and Breauna Lee Paschal, and the G-Daddy of Emmanuel Jr.
